Hilo man dies following Kona motorcycle crash
Police have identified the man who was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on the Big Island.
Negligent homicide investigation opened after Kona motorcycle crash
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Officer Kimo Keliipaakaua or Acting Sergeant Justin Hooser at 326-4646, Ext. 229. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.

Darryl Arruda was driving on Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway woth a group of seven other bicycles when the motorcyclist in front of him braked suddenly at a traffic light. Arruda slammed into the bike, causing both bikes to overturn. He suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Kona Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man on the other bicycle was not injured in the crash.
