Caldwell woman killed, toddler hurt in UTV crash

According to the Valley County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Laura Ream was riding in a utility terrain vehicle with 28-year-old Tyson Cornell and a toddler when the vehicle tipped near West Mountain Road. The UTV rolled onto its passenger side, partially ejecting and trapping Ream.
Ream was rushed to the Cascade Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The two year-old boy was taken by helicopter to Saint Alphonsus in Boise with serious injuries. Deputies say the toddler was wearing a helmet, which probably saved his life. Neither Ream nor the other passenger, Tyson Cornell, was wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
