A 13-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, after she was hit by a car Sunday evening. Police say the crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Ustick Road and Jullion Street. Witnesses told police that a car driving on Ustick hit the girl, later identified as Olivia Schnacker, while she was crossing the road on her bike. Police say she was not wearing a helmet and the extent of her injuries is not known. Although there is a pedestrian crossing at that location, police have not said if the girl was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. The female driver of the car is being questioned by officers and is cooperating, police said. Crash reconstruction experts are now trying to determine exactly how the crash happened.
