Car crashes into school bus in Eagle, ID

Park Lane was closed for about an hour while emergency crews attended to the woman trapped in the car, investigated and worked to clear the crash. McCowan says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident. The crash remains under investigation. At this point, no citations have been issued.

Marlon McCowan, a neighborhood contact officer with the Eagle Police Department, said the school bus was empty at the time of the accident, which was reported to Ada County dispatch at 10:01 a.m. 
One woman was hospitalized Monday morning with minor injuries following a collision between a school bus and a passenger car at the intersection of Highway 44 and Park Lane in Eagle, Idaho. The accident occured around 10:00 a.m. when the school bus, which had no students aboard, was driving south on Park Lane and stopped at the traffic light at Highway 44. An eastbound Buick made a wide turn onto Park Lane and collided with the rear of the bus. Firefighters removed the woman in the Buick from the roof of her car and transported her to Saint Alphonsus. Her male passenger, and the bus driver, were both unhurt. No citations have been issued at this time.
