Police: Idaho school bus rolls over, 17 taken to hospitals
At least 17 students were taken to hospitals, some with serious injuries, after a bus carrying more than three dozen students to a track meet rolled over Tuesday on a rural highway in Idaho.
"None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening," Lincoln County Sheriff Rene Rodriguez said.
The cause of the crash about 125 miles (201.16 kilometers) southeast of Boise was unknown. It occurred in an area where the speed limit is 65 mph and involved a bus carrying students from Carey School.
A parent of one of the students on the bus said her daughter remembered a hectic scene, with coaches yelling to get the driver's attention before the vehicle flipped over.
