Fatal Crash Claims Life of 87 Year Old Man
Around 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening, authorities were notified and dispatched to a car crash between two vehicles. The driver of a 2005 Silver Buick was traveling eastbound on Christian County Road 2050N and was approaching the intersection of Illinois Rt. 29 and failed to stop at the stop sign causing a second vehicle, a 2013 Chevrolet, to hit the side of the Buick. More than 4 passengers were taken to the hospital, and one 87-year-old man who was in the Buick died after being taken to a hospital. Family members are still being notified, so the man’s name is being withheld by authorities at this time

letis A. Britton, 87, died in Memorial Medical Center at 10:40 p.m. Saturday after a crash on Illinois 29 at Christian County Road 2050N at 8 p.m. Britton, an 18-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl were riding in the 2005 Buick driven by a 21-year-old Pana woman.
