Three injured in single-vehicle crash in Washington County
A preliminary investigation shows at about 11:05 a.m., a 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Austin Williams, 20, of West Frankfort was eastbound on Interstate 64, near milepost 38, when the driver's rear tire failed and the vehicle lost control. The vehicle left the roadway on the right, before overturning and coming to a stop.
Passengers Jessica Stanley, 20, of West Frankfort; Jolen Stanley, 41, of West Frankfort; and Melissa Hadden, 35, of Meeker, Colorado, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital via ambulance. Williams and passenger Jack Stanley, 45, of West Frankfort were not injured. Williams was cited for operation of an uninsured vehicle.
