Police said the driver of a 2000 Ford SUV, Michael R. Heinemeier, 23, of the 200 block of Magnolia Street in Edwardsville, was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officials said the southbound SUV crashed head-on into the minivan, and a 1998 Oldsmobile Alero struck the wreckage. Its driver, a juvenile, was not injured.
