A Rochester man has died after being struck by a semi trailer on I-55. 22-year-old tow truck operator, Jamal Horvath, was removing a disabled vehicle from the shoulder of I-55 near mile post 118. The driver of the semi trailer has been charged with failure to yield to a stationary authorized emergency vehicle and improper lane usage. According to ISP, Horvath was standing by his truck, which had its flashers activated, when he was hit by a semi-trailer around 9 p.m. The driver of the semi was not injured. The northbound right and center lanes were closed for several hours.
