Willis gets maximum sentence in woman's parking lot death

Antione Willis, 31, of the 1800 block of Renfro Street, received the maximum penalty for aggravated DUI and will serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.

"It was 6 o'clock at night at Walmart. People running in for last minute stuff for dinner," said McCormick. McCormick says she had just gotten off work and stopped at the Walmart on sixth street in Springfield to pick up a jar of peanut butter. "Then in a blink of a second, everything changed," McCormick said.    

Charges are expected to be filed Monday for the driver accused of crashing into three people while allegedly driving drunk in a Walmart parking lot. One of the victims, 26-year-old Lindsey Sharp, died from her injuries two days after the crash which occurred just after six Thursday night. Two other people were also hit but thankfully their injuries are non-life threatening. Authorities say 31-year-old Antoine Willis of Springfield was driving drunk through the store parking lot when the crash occurred.
