A man was struck and killed by a CTA bus in the Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side Monday night.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., 62-year-old Erroll D. Ellison, 62, was walking in the 4300 block of South Halsted when he fell into the roadway and was hit by a CTA bus. Ellison was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The fatal accident is under investigation.
