Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Avondale

A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side. The 71-year-old woman was struck about 2:45 p.m. in a parking lot in the 3200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, police said. She was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said. The 59-year-old woman behind the wheel was cited for negligent driving, police said.
