Two Killed In Highland Park Accident Involving StolenVehicle

(CBS) — Two people were killed in an accident early Sunday morning involving a stolen vehicle, according to Highland Park police. Police say a car traveling at a high rate of speed around 4:30 a.m. crashed into a tree near the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Walnut Street. One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene and the other occupant was pronounced dead at Evanston Hospital. Police say the vehicle in the accident was reported stolen to the Chicago Police Department on Dec. 4.

Chicago man charged in Highland Park crash that left two dead

Leonard A. Lemons, 18, was charged with two counts of reckless homicide, two counts of aggravated DUI, and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to a statement from Highland Park police.
