1 dead following 3-vehicle crash on State Route 52 at Grove Road in Minooka, Illinois

One killed in crash in rural Minooka | The Herald-News

A three-vehicle collision on State Route 52 at Grove Road in rural Kendall County claimed the life of one motorist Friday morning, according to Illinois State Police. The crash involved a 2015 Nissan Altima, a 2015 Kenworth truck tractor with tanker-trailer and a 2000 Toyota Camry, police said. According to the results of a preliminary police investigation, the driver of the Nissan Altima, which was traveling south on Grove Road, failed to yield to the truck, which was traveling west on Route 52 through the Grove Road intersection. The truck struck the Nissan, which then rolled on its side causing fuel to leak from the tanker unto the roadway, police said. The Toyota Camry, which was being driven behind the tractor trailer on Route 52, also struck the Nissan. The driver of the Nissan dead at the scene by staff from the Kendall County Coroner'€™s Office.
