Magana Leonel Charged with Driving Under the Influence
The public is reminded that all arrested persons are merely accused of the charges against them and are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Illinois State Police (ISP) officials announced charges stemming from the crash that resulted in a line-of-duty injury to Trooper Chad Martinez who is assigned to ISP District 5 in Lockport. On April 12, 2015, at approximately 2:50 a.m. Trooper Martinez was traveling westbound on Madison Street in Oswego. The Chrysler was driven by Magana Leonel, 27, of Aurora, Illinois. Leonel was subsequently charged with Driving Under the Influence. Leonel posted bond at Oswego Police Department and was issued a court date.
