A 12-year-old girl was killed early Monday, when she was thrown from the cab of a semi-trailer truck as it rolled over in northwest suburban Pingree Grove, according to police. Police said
Truck driver Dior Turner, of South Bend, Indiana, was westbound on U.S. Route 20 when his semi-trailer truck left the roadway at Reinking Road and overturned around 5:15 a.m. His daughter, Dahabrielle Turner, 12, was riding in the cab with him at the time of the crash, and she was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Dior Turner was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elgin in unknown condition. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
