The intersection of Route 59 and Black Road is clear after a two-vehicle crash caused traffic lanes on Route 59 to briefly shut down. A crash near the intersection was expected to cause heavy backups and detours, according to a Nixle alert and the Shorewood Police Department's Facebook page at 3:30 p.m. Shorewood police officer Kevin Frazier said the two-vehicle incident shut down one southbound and one northbound lane on Route 59.
