The crash occurred when a 2009 Volvo S60 heading north on Route 59 near Penny Road lost control and crossed into the southbound lane of traffic at about 3:10 p.m. Sunday, colliding with a southbound 2006 BMW X5 driven by Carol Saldek, 56, of Crystal Lake, police told the Daily Herald.
