A two-year-old from Richmond, Virginia was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Wayne County, according to Illinois State Police.
Illinois State Police say Briana L. Lashley, 22, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu west on Interstate 64 at about 6:05 a.m. Saturday near milepost 109.5 when the vehicle left the roadway and drove into the median. The car continued on the median and struck a concrete bridge structure. Lashley and her two-year-old passenger were taken to a hospital, where the child was pronounced dead.
