Illinois State Police investigated the wreck. They said a Gray Dodge Durango drove on the westbound side of Route 154 when it unknowingly crossed onto the eastbound side. Upon doing so, the Dodge hit a Red Chevrolet Blazer head-on. The Chevrolet driver, a 44-year-old man, immediately died.
