Mindy Koch, 28, killed, Robert Hillyer, 42, seriously injured, transported to hospital, after their two trucks collide on U.S. 67 near Rushville.

A Rushville woman was killed in a two vehicle crash on US 67 in northern Schuyler County Thursday.

According to Illinois State Police, Mindy Koch, 28, lost control of her truck north of Hickory School Road on US 67 around 1pm Thursday.

Police say she ran off the road, overcorrected and slid into the southbound lane, where she was hit by a truck driven by Robert Hillyer, 42, of Rushville.

Both drivers were taken to McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, where Koch was pronounced dead. Police say Koch was not wearing a seatbelt.

Hillyer suffered serious injuries.
