One motorist critically injured in Boone County accident(link is external)

BELVIDERE – One of five people taken to area hospital Tuesday was critically injured after a two-vehicle accident on Illinois 76 and Spring Creek Road. Boone County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched about 10 a.m. and arrived to find one of the vehicles on its side. It was not clear how many people were in each vehicle, but a Boone County news release said a total of five people were taken to area hospitals. Three people were released from the hospital, one remained in critical condition, and the fifth victim was described only as stable.
