1 dead in 2-vehicle crash in Edgar County Thursday afternoon
ISP officials say the crash happened on Route 133 at Edgar County Road 600 East at about 3:54 p.m. According to the preliminary investigation into the crash, authorities say a 2003 Buick Rendezvous was stopped at the intersection of Edgar County 600 East and Route 133 while a Peterbuilt Truck Tractor approached the intersection, traveling westbound. Troopers say a school bus traveling eastbound on Route 133 turned north onto 600 East, and that the Buick proceeded to turn east onto Route 133 and into the path of the truck tractor. Authorities say the driver of the Buick was not wearing a seat belt, but two passengers in the Buick were secured in a child restraint and seat belt, respectively. The driver of the truck tractor was also wearing his seat belt.
