Crash in Edgar County kills one
A tractor-trailer with a small empty grain hauler was southbound in the same location when the driver of the pickup swerved into the southbound lane. The tractor-trailer slowed, pulled to the shoulder and was almost at a complete stop in an attempt to avoid contact when the pickup hit the front of the tractor-trailer head-on.
Crash in Edgar County kills Marshall man
The driver of the truck, Stanley B. Wallace, 73, of Marshall, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 38-year-old man from Paris, was taken to Paris Community Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
