She was found Friday afternoon in a pool at the home of Steve Munsey, the pastor of the Family Christian Center in Munster.

"The entire Munsey family and the members of the Family Christian Center church are saddened by this tragic, accidental drowning and have expressed their condolences and prayers to the family," he said.
Lake County Coroner Merrilee Frey said Tuesday that 18-year-old Domonique Smith of Crown Point was pronounced dead Monday afternoon at Franciscan St. Margaret Health hospital in Dyer, where she had been on life support. Smith was found Friday afternoon in a pool at the home of Steve Munsey, where she had been babysitting. The home is located in the gated Briar Ridge subdivision.
