At least one dead after early-morning crash

Reports say only one vehicle was involved in the crash, but the number of people involved in the crash is unknown.

According to ISP, Officers responded to State Road 327, near the intersection of County Road 32 in Corunna, Indiana around 12:50 a.m. Saturday morning.

The release notes they also found an injured man walking near the crash with burns and head trauma. The man was later identified as 19-year-old Leo Montoya and is also the alleged driver.

CORONER: Passenger killed in crash in DeKalb County last Saturday identified as 50-year-old Garrett woman

Authorities also put out the car fire, which then revealed a deceased passenger. The DeKalb County Coroner’s Office has now identified the passenger as 50-year-old Betty Lue Mott of Garrett, IN.
