Fort Wayne Police: Moped crash leaves man critically injured

The crash remains under investigation by the FWPD and the Allen County prosecutor's office. The Fort Wayne Fire Department and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority assisted in the case.

Around 4:07 a.m., a crash was reported at the 900 block of Lower Huntington Road. Officers arrived to find the accident involved a single moped. The driver was unconscious and unresponsive. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. It appears the moped was traveling westbound on Lower Huntington Road when it left the road and hit the curb on the north side of the road. After hitting the curb, the driver lost control and struck a mailbox. The victim, identified as Brady Marrett, 25, was not wearing a helmet and investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
