The Allen County Sheriff’s Department has closed off Lafayette Center Road between Lower Huntington and Aboite Road after an incident where pigs were seen on the road.
Pigs run free on northeastern Indiana road following crash
An Allen County, Ind., road was closed down for several hours following an accident because several pigs were running around the area. It's unclear if the pigs escaped due to the crash or if they were let out of their enclosure.
Running pigs force road closure
The road was closed for several hours while the pigs were rounded up.
Around 4 p.m. officers in Fort Wayne responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a truck that was hauling pigs. The pigs somehow managed to escape from the truck, forcing the road to be closed for several hours while authorities rounded up the animals.
