The semi, pulling a tanker trailer loaded with food byproduct, was driven by 59-year-old Dennis Nickell Sr. of Mount Sterling, Ohio. He was taken to an area hospital, treated and released, Leazenby said.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:56 a.m., deputies and emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of State Road 29 and County Road 250 N northeast of Flora for the head-on collision involving a 2008 Ford Focus and a 2014 Peterbuilt semi-tractor trailer.
