The twin-engine plane crashed around 12:45 p.m., shortly after taking off from Indianapolis Regional Airport, about 17 miles east of Indianapolis, according to Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine. Federal officials said the jet was headed to the Minden-Tahoe Airport, near Lake Tahoe, the Reno Gazette Journal reported.
