Driver crashed into IHOP after stealing perfume from Von Maur.
The Greenwood Police Department was involved in a short pursuit Friday night.
Officials say the pursuit began around 6:45 p.m. at the Greenwood Park Mall. Officers say the driver of the car, 41-year-old Danissa Moss of Indianapolis, and 57-year-old James Townsend of Indianapolis, reportedly stole perfume from Von Maur.
The pair was spotted leaving the mall, so an officer tried to block the exit. However, Moss drove around the officers and took off north on US 31 at more than 100 miles per hour.
Officers say Moss hit another car at US 31 and Stop 11, but kept driving until she lost control of the car, crashing into the IHOP at US 31 and Shelby Street. Officials say she almost hit several people outside the restaurant.
Both Moss and Townsend were arrested.
