Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office closed U.S. 231 due to a crash at County Line Road between Montgomery and Tippecanoe counties.
Montgomery County deputies report a semi truck carrying grain was headed southbound when it crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound.
The woman driving the car had three children in her vehicle. Deputies report the woman was airlifted and transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with unknown injuries. One of the children was transported to Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health in Crawfordsville.
Two people were in the semi truck. They were checked and treated on scene and both have been released.
Grain and diesel fuel are spilled across U.S. 231. As of 1 p.m., crews were still working to clear the scene and have re-opened one lane of the highway.
