ISP: Driver crashes, dies after chase with trooper in southern Indiana

According to a release from Indiana State Police, a trooper patrolling State Road 62 saw an SUV drive straight past a stop sign at an intersection in downtown Corydon shortly before 7:30 p.m. The trooper said the SUV did not slow down as it went past the stop sign and crossed the highway.

Indiana Woman Fleeing From Police Killed In Wreck

Before the trooper could catch up to the car when the car ran off the side of the road and crashed into a tree. The impact threw the driver out of the car, instantly killing her. The woman was later identified as 27-year-old Sierra Rose Baylor of Corydon. The investigation is ongoing, but alcohol is suspected to be a factor.
