Officers arrived and located a mo-ped along with its driver and passenger suffering from multiple injuries after being struck by a tractor-trailer. Thompson, the mo-ped driver, stated that he was travelling westbound on Old Road 30, when he was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer, pushing his small motor bike off the roadway, and ejecting his passenger.

Police said Latanna Thompson, also of Huntington, was thrown from the moped.
A Parkview Samaritan helicopter transported her to Memorial Hospital of South Bend. She is in critical condition with severe head injuries, police said.
