One Killed in Jasper County Crash

JASPER COUNTY, Iowa '€” One person is dead and two others are injured after a crash in Jasper County Thursday afternoon. It happened along Highway F-48 just east of Colfax around 4:00. The Iowa State Patrol says 32-year-old Mandy Matlock of Prairie City was driving eastbound when she crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car. The other driver, 83-year-old Joanne Hunter of Newton, died at the scene. Matlock and Hunter'€™s passenger were taken to the hospital.
