Three Dead Following Fishing Accident Near Creston

“Somebody went back to check on them, and they just found the hole in the ice and all the equipment on the ice.” 
Three men were killed in an ice-fishing accident shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday at a farm north of Creston. Three men had gone fishing Saturday afternoon and didn't return on time. Rescue crews located the men’s bodies in the pond, 20 feet from shore. The victims are identified as Earl Burkhalter, 71, Charles Critz, 73, and James Oshel, 68, all of Creston. Check back as more information becomes available.
