The Lawrence Police Department has confirmed that they are investigating a crash near Naismith Drive and West 19th Street that left a pedestrian dead.

The first happened in Lawrence around 8:40 p.m., when police say a 60-year-old Lawrence woman was hit by a vehicle on West 19th Street and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities said that at about 8:40 p.m., police were called on a report of a pedestrian that had been struck while crossing the street.
