Two people were injured Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Pottawatomie County. As the Ford truck went left of center to avoid a collision, the driver of the Dodge corrected and re-entered the northbound lane. The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at 8:55 a.m. at 2355 Maple Hill Road -- a mile south of the town of St. The driver of the Ford, identified as John C. Rookstool, 62, of Wamego, was reported injured and was taken to a local hospital. The patrol said the crash occurred when a 1997 Ford pickup truck that was southbound on Maple Hill Road went left of center to avoid hitting a 2014 Dodge truck that for an unknown reason was driving left of center.
