The helicopter, he said, picked up the fast-moving sedan at 12:42 a.m. on State Road 714, which becomes Indian Street. The vehicle wound up heading west on Southeast Cove Road and barreling across Southwest Kanner Highway and into the St. Lucie River. It is thought to have run over tire deflation devices before crossing Southwest Kanner Highway.
