Carl Ickes, 65, struck and killed by a car near Houston Road and Merchants Street in Florence, Kentucky

Through investigation, it was discovered that the Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Houston Road in the left lane as the pedestrian was crossing Houston Road. The Honda Civic was unable to stop before colliding with the pedestrian. Florence EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased from his injuries.
