The Evansville Fire Department, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office, and AMR were called in to assist with the accident.
It was about 2:25 p.m. when Justin James, 32, was driving north on Highway 41 and began to lose traction, possibly due to the wet roads and heavy rain at the time. His car rotated in and out of the lane and was eventually struck by a semi-truck that was driving behind him. Both vehicles crashed off of the roadway, and James was taken to the hospital with head injuries. No one else was injured in the accident.
