Vigil held for victims of Clay County crash

CLAY CO., KY (WAVE) - A vigil was held Monday night for three women, a toddler and an unborn child killed in a crash in eastern Kentucky Friday. The vigil was held Monday at 5 p.m. at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home in Leslie County. Her unborn child was also killed. Williams' son, 2-year-old Kyson Pennington, was flown to University of Kentucky Hospital where he later died Saturday evening, WLEX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Lexington, reports.  Those who wish to donate to the families of the victims can do so on this GoFundMe page.

Multiple media outlets report troopers charged 40-year-old Jason Gibson on Thursday with four counts of murder and fetal homicide, among other charges. MANCHESTER, Ky. (AP) – The man Kentucky State Police say drove drunk and crashed, killing four people and an unborn child, has pleaded not guilty. Judy Pennington-Adams, her pregnant daughter Tiffany, Tiffany’s son Kyson and family friend Charlene Lewis were all killed in the crash. Kentucky State Police say Gibson was driving under the influence when his car crossed the center line and hit another car along the Hal Rogers Parkway. Gibson will be back in court Jan. 4 for a preliminary hearing.
