Man en route to hospital dies after Pulaski Co. crash

Deputies say the driver on the wrong side of the road was in a gold SUV and didn't stop after causing the crash.
A 57-year-old Pulaski County man who was en route to the hospital Saturday died after a crash on Pine Hill Road. Investigators say his wife was driving him to the hospital for a medical emergency when she swerved to avoid a SUV driving on the wrong side of the road. Deputies tell us the Science Hill couple lost control of their truck and crashed into an embankment east of Somerset about 4:15 p.m. Don Turner, 57, was rushed to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital but the coroner says he died there from an unrelated medical condition. Investigators tell WKYT his wife wasn't hurt in the crash. Deputies say the driver on the wrong side of the road was in a gold SUV and didn't stop after causing the crash. Investigators are asking anyone who may know who the driver is or may have seen the crash to call the sheriff's office.
