All lanes reopened on I-64 after deadly crash

All lanes on I-64 are have reopened after a deadly, fiery crash that happened between Cannons Lane and Grinstead Drive. LMPD said a female died in this crash. The crash shut down traffic in both directions for several hours during the morning commute. Police said the female was driving a Honda Fit. The accident happened just before 3:15 a.m. LMPD said the vehicle had been traveling westbound on the eastbound side of I-64. She was driving without the right front tire and driving on the rim.

LMPD said the vehicle had been traveling westbound on the eastbound side of I-64. She was driving without the right front tire and driving on the rim.  The driver went under the Cannons Lane overpass, went off to the right-hand side of the road and struck the concrete wall head on, according to LMPD.
