Driver charged with murder in deadly crash near Springfield, KY

Mendoza is facing several charges including murder, DUI, wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident. Blanco faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and alcohol intoxication.

A Campbellsville man is in jail, facing numerous charges, after he was involved in a crash, that killed a woman.

They were returned to the scene of the accident before being taken to Springview Hospital, treated for minor injuries and arrested.
Victor Mendoza, 25, was driving northbound on Bloomfield Road near Springfield Sunday when he collided with a van westbound on KY 150. The driver of the van, Cliddie McKinney, 76, of Bardstown, was transported to Springview Hospital, and later pronounced deceased. A passenger, Mary McKinney, 78, was treated and released. McKinney's van hit another car after the first collision, injuring the driver, 43-year-old Debbie Spalding, of Springfield. Mendoza and his passenger, 35-year-old Pascual Blanco of Campbellsville, ran from the crash scene, but were later found by police. They were treated for minor injuries and then were transported to the Marion County jail.
