The crash happened just after 12 a.m. on May 20, 2017. Lane, who was 18 at the time, was driving 16-year-old Sierra Jones home from a party when she crashed her car on Griggstown Road at Salyer Creek Road. Investigators found Lane had been drinking, and was speeding when she crashed.
