22-year-old Baton Rouge motorcyclist dies following collision with SUV

A 22-year-old Baton Rouge man died after his motorcycle hit a GMC Yukon on the 1300 block of Coursey Boulevard on Saturday afternoon, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. Mason Guillot of 2254 E. Contour Drive was taken to a hospital after the crash and died from his injuries. Guillot was heading eastbound on Coursey at a "high rate of speed," and hit the Yukon as it made a left hand turn from a westbound lane, according to the sheriff's office. The driver of the Yukon was not injured.

A 22-year-old Baton Rouge man was killed Saturday afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving collided with another vehicle on Coursey Boulevard, authorities said. East Baton Rouge Sheriff'€™s deputies responded to the accident around 1 p.m. in the 1300 block of Coursey Boulevard, the Sheriff'€™s Office said in a news release. Deputies said they were told the motorcyclist, Mason Guillot, was driving fast eastbound on Coursey Lane and hit a GMC Yukon that was making a left-hand turn from the westbound lane. Guillot, 2254 E. Contour Drive, was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead from injuries suffered during the crash, the release says.
