St. Martin Parish Crash Leaves Passenger Dead
State Police revealed that the crash occurred as 18-year-old Hunter Mansour of Alexandria was driving northbound on LA 31 approaching the intersection of Cypress Island Extension Road. In an attempt to avoid a rear-end collision with another vehicle Mansour veered to the right.
In doing so, Mansour ran off of the right side of the roadway, entered a ditch, and struck a chain link fence.

Lafayette teen killed in St. Martin Parish crash
Mansour was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, however his front seat passenger, Juliana Gerami, who was also wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries.
The St. Martin Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Gerami dead on scene.
A rear seat passenger, 18 year old Samantha Rivero of Lafayette, was also wearing a seat belt and was not injured
