The six-month pregnant women was extricated and airlifted to the North Oaks Hospital for her injuries, which were more severe than the rest of her family, officials said.
A pregnant mother of two was critically injured in a Mother's Day morning crash north of Covington, when the family's car and a garbage truck crashed around 9:30 a.m. on Lee Road Highway. The crash caused the garbage truck to roll over and damaged the passenger side of the car. The woman was severely injured and was airlifted to Northoaks Medical Center. Her current condition, and that of the other passengers and the dump truck driver, are unknown at this time.
