An NOPD officer was injured Tuesday (Jan. 21) when a driver sped through a stop sign and crashed into a police car, New Orleans police said.
An NOPD officer was injured Tuesday (Jan. 21) when a driver sped through a stop sign and crashed into a police car, New Orleans police said. The vehicle ran a stop sign in the 3200 block of D'hemecourt Street Tuesday before 5 p.m. and collided with a Mid-City patrol cruiser, which then careened into a nearby parked car, a NOPD spokesman said in a statement. The officer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said. The driver of the car was uninjured. The case is being referred to the city attorney's office for review, Robertson said.
